2NE1’s megahit single “Lonely” was YouTube’s most watched video in Korea in the first half of this year, the video streaming service said in a statement today. “We picked the most watched videos in Korea in the first half of 2011, and 2NE1’s ‘Lonely’ was the top choice,” YouTube said.

f(x)’s “Pinocchio” came in at 2nd followed by Korean animation character “Pororo” at #3, #4, and #7. “Lonely” and “Pinocchio” were also the top two most watched music videos in the country, followed by SNSD’s Intel ad campaign song, “Visual Dreams,” IU’s “The Story Only I Didn’t Know,” and Big Bang’s “Tonight,” respectively.

“This survey reflects the soaring popularity of K-Pop and the large fan base of ‘Pororo,’” Adam Smith, head of YouTube’s Asian region said in statement. YouTube will release the “Top 10 Most Watched MV Chart” every month from now on.
