6 Heartbreakingly Cute K-Dramas For Do Bong Soon Fans
“Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” is obviously the queen of cute dramas — with the tight family bonds it features, the nobility of its characters, and the amazing chemistry between our heroes and main leads Do Bong Soon and Ahn Min Hyuk, it makes sense that this show broke record ratings and became a K-drama to remember. For viewers reminiscing over the adorableness of the show, here are six heartbreakingly cute dramas to carry you over to your next addiction.
Splash Splash Love
“Splash Splash Love” is a lighthearted and romantic show that you can watch in one movie version episode or split up over 10 mini episodes, so it’s perfect for late night sleepovers or weekend binge watchers. The show revolves around a girl (Kim Seul Gi) who’s so stressed about her final exams that she manages to travel through time to the Joseon Dynasty, where she falls in love with her own prince, King Lee Do (Yoon Doo Joon). It’s relatable, funny, and a very sweet romance, so give it a watch!

Shopping King Louie
“Shopping King Louie” is another cute, light show with an adorkable chaebol (Seo In Guk) who falls in love with a sweet country girl (Nam Ji Hyun). It’s funny and not too much of an emotional roller coaster, so if you’d like to relax from some of the more stressful dramas, this is a good show to see.

Moonlight Drawn by Clouds
Historical drama “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” creates a delightful case of mistaken identity — ghost writer Hong Ra On (Kim Yoo Jung), disguised as a man, meets the stubborn and mischievous Lee Young (Park Bo Gum) — who hides his identity as Crown Prince Heo Myeong — in a very quirky and amusing situation. Their love-hate relationship eventually turns into a wonderfully sweet romance that viewers will fall in love with. If you’re still not convinced, you should check out the hilarious trailer of Prince Heo Myeong and his court dancing to “Boombastic.” Isn’t Park Bo Gum so cute?

“Healer” was a popular 2014-2015 drama with lots of action and cuddly romance. It features bad boy night courier Jung Hoo (Ji Chang Wook), who actually wants nothing more than to live alone on his own private island. He falls in love with the gentle Chae Yeong Shin (Park Min Young), an entertainment reporter whose dream is to be a real journalist. The background plot of this show is interesting but sad; however, if you’re a fan of lots of physical affection and romance, it’s worth seeing.
“Pinocchio” was an incredibly successful drama starring Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk. The unusual plot focuses on a woman with the inability to tell lies and a desire to be a reporter. The featured main couple was very popular, and their so-called “toast kiss” scene became a big hit. A fair warning that the show has the melodrama element to it; while the ending is happy and the couple is definitely one to root for, it lacks the lightheartedness of most of the other dramas on this list.
The Legend of the Blue Sea
“The Legend of the Blue Sea” is a recent drama with a reincarnation love story between a mermaid and a conman. It’s funny and has many feel-good moments, along with the perfect fairytale romance. In addition, its two main leads are the hugely popular Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Min Ho.
