Han Joo Wan has been given a sentence for purchasing 10 grams of marijuana.

On May 10, it was revealed that Han Joo Wan received an 8-month prison sentence suspended for two years, meaning that the actor will be spending two years in probation, but will have to spend eight months in prison if he violates the condition of the suspension during those two years. The court has also ordered 40 hours of drug rehab and a fee of 3.2 million won (approximately $2,966).

A source from his agency Starhaus Entertainment stated, “After receiving the ruling in April, he has been following legal proceedings and going through a time of self-reflection. Please refrain from publishing speculative reports.”

After debuting in 2009, Han Joo Wan appeared in the dramas “Wang’s Family,” “Gunman in Joseon,” “Splendid Politics,” “School 2017,” and “Melo Holic.”
