SM Entertainment‘s rookie girl group aespa have been selected as the first ever brand ambassador for luxury brand Givenchy.

According to SM Entertainment’s press release, aespa have been chosen as the 2021 brand ambassador for Givenchy. The group will feature in collections and key brand lines created by Matthew M. Williams, Givenchy’s creative director.

Notably, aespa is the first ever K-Pop group to become a brand ambassador for Givenchy, and it is even more notable that the whole group, not just a single member, became the face of a global luxury brand. Matthew M. Williams commented on why aespa were chosen as the new brand models.

When I first saw aespa, I was overwhelmed with the energy each member had. Both as a group and individually as Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning, I could feel the the strong individuality and style of each member, so naturally they would fit with Givenchy. aespa’s fashion is having their own color.

Aespa also commented on the new partnership between them and Givenchy.
