Now, thanks to her unwavering popularity & passionate fans, the company has announced they’re moving the brand to the international market too.

Lotte Confectionery spent over a year developing Air Baked—a line of oven-cooked snack chips with 60% less fat than their fried alternatives. When the brand was launching, the company could think of no better endorser than powerhouse Jennie.

They definitely chose right, because within a month, Jennie had racked up over 2.6 million CF views and Air Baked manage to set a staggering sales record of ₩2.5 billion won ($2.1 million USD). Given how well the “Jennie snack” has been selling in Korea, it’s no surprise that Lotte Confectionery are now making a foray into the international market.

And, it’s all thanks to the “Jennie Effect”. A recent article from iNews 24 reports that Jennie fans from around the world have been sending Lotte Confectionery requests to export the brand to other countries.

The company was so inundated with demands, they’ve decided to expand Air Baked sales internationally starting this month. The chips are already being sold in countries like Hong Kong and Guam, but now Lotte Confectionery is adjusting the packaging and formulation in order to sell the chips in the United States and beyond.
