On May 18, Nielsen Korea released the viewership ratings for the shows that aired the day before.

“Law of the Jungle” kicked off its second Mexico episode on Friday and garnered viewership ratings of 10.3 and 12.7 percent nationwide. (It also got as high as 13.4 percent in the metropolitan area.) The show not only got the highest ratings in its time slot, including both public broadcasting stations and cable channels, but also the highest ratings of any show that aired on Friday.

“Law of the Jungle” also scored a 0.5 percent increase in ratings among the important 20-49-year-old demographic (5.3 and 5.8 percent).

Two of the guests for the Mexico special were BTOB’s Eunkwang and Hyunsik. During a segment where the cast were diving into the ocean from the boat, Eunkwang was one of the last to jump. Despite practicing and receiving encouragement from Changsub before he’d left on the trip, his phobia of water kept him clinging to the boat and calling after Hyunsik, who’d already jumped. The scene received the highest ratings of the entire episode at 14.8 percent.

In the end, Eunkwang did enter the water but quickly returned to the boat with Hyunsik’s help.
