The show started at 6pm sharp in an electric atmosphere. Several thousand fans were waiting, impatient to meet their idols and sing along. Then 2NE1 jumped on stage with their dancers and started with “Hate You” and “I Am The Best,” making the audience screaming and dancing along with them. With “Fire”, the scenery displayed virtual flames before showing a dozen of hands for “Clap Your Hands”. The very energetic CL asked her fans to clap with them, stimulating the audience.
The girls then followed with “I Don’t Care” and “Don’t Stop The Music” before leaving the stage.
Standing on an illuminated platform, CL then rose above the stage and showed off her amazing DJ skills. In just a few seconds, she transformed the Olympic stadium into a huge night club with remixes of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” Rihanna’s “We Found Love” and “Fire“.
She then gave the stage to the elegant Park Bom. In a white scenery, Bom stood on a round podium hidden by sheets and performed “Don’t Cry” and “You and I” with her powerful voice.
After the song, the audience heard loud beats coming from the stage. Bom suddenly took off the sheets from her podium and revealed two dancers hidden in a large bass drum. Beating in rhythm, they launched the first notes of “Try To Follow Me” and excited the audience. 2NE1 then jumped on stage with energy, wearing cheer leaders outfits for another dynamic performance.
CL and Minzy then performed “Please Don’t Go” from a rollercoaster wagon above the stage. After Minzy’s “Pretty Boy”, Dara surprised the public when she invited a fan on stage and kissed him on the cheek.
After a short video showing 2NE1 getting ready in backstage, the girls came on stage wearing large beige dresses to perform “It Hurts” and “Lonely.” As planed by the Korean Blackjacks, the entire crowd suddenly switched off its light sticks and waved white posters to show their support, touching the girls.
They sang “In The Club” and “Stay Together” afterward, before performing “I Love You”, stimulated by their enthusiastic audience. The atmosphere stayed electric during “Ugly”, “Let’s Go Party”, “Scream”, “Hate You”, “Go Away” and “Can’t Nobody”.
After a few minutes of silence, 2NE1 finally came back on stage for their Encore with “I Don’t Care” and a remix version of “I Am The Best”. Still very dynamic despise the long concert, the girls played on stage, accepted gifts from their fans and finally greeted the audience in a burst of applause.
Numerous celebrities such as Jay Park, G-Dragon, BADA, and Shinwha’s Minwoo attended the concert and praised the girls on their personal Twitter accounts. With this amazing concert, 2NE1 has definitely kept its promise of a “new challenge” and “new evolution.”
