Fantagio Confirms ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo Visited Itaewon During Social Distancing Period
Fantagio has released their statement regarding Cha Eunwoo’s Itaewon visit, confirming he was in Itaewon on April 25 and apologizing for his actions.
In their official statement released to the media, Fantagio confirmed Cha Eunwoo was in Itaewon, and shared how he is currently reflecting on his actions.
Hello, this is Fantagio.
We have confirmed that Cha Eunwoo was in Itaewon with his friends on April 25. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by our negligence in our company’s promise to everyone of maintaining social distancing.
Cha Eunwoo did not visit the venue that the first confirmed case in Itaewon was in early May. We also received a response from the Korean Center for Disease Control that if he had no symptoms, the test for Coronavirus would not be required. However, for the health and safety of the artists and people around him, Cha Eunwoo got tested and received a negative test result.
Regardless of the reasons, it was unwise for Cha Eunwoo, our artist, to visit Itaewon at a time where Koreans are practicing social distancing. He deeply regrets that he has not made a sincere effort to keep his social distance from others.
In the future, we promise that all of our artists will do their best to comply with the rules of preventing the spread of the virus, and prevent something like this from happening again. We are sorry to have caused trouble to everyone.
Earlier in the day, Dispatch reported that Mingyu was in Itaewon with ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo, NCT’s Jaehyun, and BTS’s Jungkook during the social distancing period that began on April 25.
Big Hit Entertainment has released their statement regarding Jungkook’s involvement.
Pledis Entertainment also just released their statement regarding Mingyu’s involvement.
