On a recent appearance on Dingo, the girls of GFRIEND started a huge debate about…butts. While Eunha, Umji and Sowon felt that butts should be referred to singularly, Yerin, Yuju and SinB insisted that each person has two butts. Read their arguments below and decide which team you’re on!

Yuju’s main argument is that if a person has two legs, and butts are connected to your legs, you should therefore also have two butts.

Meanwhile, Umji retaliated, arguing that you call gloves and socks as a pair, so butts should also not be plural.

She made a very convincing argument also when she substantiated her point, saying that you wear a pair of underwear.

She even asked Yuju if Yuju ever put on underwear separately for each butt. Pretty convincing, if you ask us.

Yuju brought up the fact that it’s possible for only one butt to be aching, therefore, the two are separate entities.

However, Sowon recalled that sometimes, the front and back of her left brain can hurt separately at different times. It is therefore, possible that the same body part aches in different areas.

SinB also argued that when one takes an InBody examination, you measure body fat percentage for separate butts. As InBody is science, one can’t argue against it.

Yerin then brought up the argument that the term “deongi” in Korean, is used to refer to one group or one lump. Butt however, is “eong-deongi“, therefore, it should be two!

Yuju insisted that butts were two, claiming she could move them separately. She even asked Sowon to feel hers for good measure.
