“Infinity Challenge” Becomes First Variety in 16 Years to Win Grand Prize at Korean Broadcasting Awards
MBC‘s long-running variety program “Infinity Challenge” had the honor of taking home the Grand Prize at yesterday’s 42nd Korean Broadcasting Awards.
The Korean Broadcasting Awards revealed earlier on that “All the judges voted unanimously for ‘Infinity Challenge,’” adding, “‘Infinity Challenge’ has opened a new door for variety shows, and they have continued to show innovative ideas with each episode, as well as contributing to the social change in our society.”
The last time a variety program won the Grand Prize at the Korean Broadcasting Awards was 16 years ago, in 1999, when MBC’s “Cheer On” took home the honor.
“King of Mask Singer” won the Variety Award at the ceremony, while the medium/short-length drama award went to SBS‘ “Punch.”
