According to Japan’s largest albums sales statistics site Oricon, TWELVE took the top spot on the weekly albums chart for the third week of October (October 19 through October 25).

While this is impressive by itself, it continues IZ*ONE’s Oricon album streak. To date, all of their albums have placed within the top 5 of Oricon’s weekly album chart! What’s more, this is also the second time that IZ*ONE has claimed the top spot on the chart after their debut album COLOR*IZ did so in 2018.

The new album, released on October 21, includes several original Japanese songs like “Suki to Iwasetai”, “Beware”, and “Vampire” as well as Japanese versions of IZ*ONE’s Korean title tracks.

The Japanese versions of “La Vie En Rose”, “Violeta”, and “FIESTA” have particularly been gaining attention as they were personally written by IZ*ONE’s Japanese members — Sakura, Nako, and Hitomi.

Their takeover of the weekly chart, however, isn’t the only impressive achievement IZ*ONE claimed with TWELVE. As soon as the album was released, the powerhouse group broke the record among K-Pop girl groups for first-day sales on Oricon’s daily album chart!

Congratulations IZ*ONE!
