JYP Entertainment Partners With World Vision To Support Disabled Children And Makes ₩300 Million KRW Donation
JYP Entertainment has partnered with World Vision to help support vulnerable and disabled children around the world, and contributed ₩300 million KRW ($266,914 USD) to the cause.
According to JYP Entertainment’s press release, they have signed a business agreement with NGO World Vision to support the treatment costs for children in foreign countries. JYP Entertainment vice president Byun Sang Bong and 2PM‘s Junho attended the ceremony with World Vision’s Chairman Cho Myung Hwan and vice president Han Sang Ho.
JYP Entertainment’s ₩300 million KRW donation will be used to provide support for children in Bangladesh, Vietnam, Philippines, and Mongolia for one year. They will be continuing their Every Dream Matters! campaign which they started in 2019, and have been contributing around ₩300 million KRW each year to help support over 200 children who need medical support due to their lack of health infrastructure.
2PM’s Junho, who has been partnered with World Vision since 2011 and is one of the organization’s goodwill ambassadors, commented on the importance of the campaign.
The sense of joy that comes when you give a helping hand is really something unique. It is even more meaningful to be accompanied by World Vision, who we have been working together with for a long time. I hope we can share our dreams with these children.
It was sad seeing these friends who have endless possibilities not being able to fulfill their dreams because of their situations, but I hope our assistance will be a reason of hope for them.
