Kollaboration LA Set To Showcase a Night of Amazing API Talent
Kollaboarion Los Angeles 2013 returns to the Ford Amphitheater this year on Friday, July 26, for a night of incredible talent from the Asian/Pacific Islander community.
Ten premiere acts that were selected from a pool of over 100 applicants, are competing to not only win Kollaboration Los Angeles 2013, but also for their chance to be Los Angeles’ representative in Kollaboration Star, Kollaboration’s national competition in November, and win the $20,000 grand prize.
The show’s is diverse and talented line-up includes : South Korea’s MBC Star 2 finalist Ashley Yoon, Los Angeles dance company Evoke, indie-pop & soul singer and songwriter Hana Kim, lyrical emcee Russell Curry, brotherly acoustic duo John & Daniel Rhee, powerful vocalist, pianist, and songwriter Priska, Koreatown rapper Mike B, the multi-talented USC student and saxophonist Justin Klunk, hip-hop artist Verseatile, and nationally-ranked beatboxer EVMB.
This year’s judges are rapper and producer Kero One, renowned dancer and choreographer Aimee Lee Lucas, composer George Shaw, and musician and producer Peter Hong (also known as Mister Rocks). The event will be hosted by stand-up comedian and Kollaboration founder Paul “PK” Kim.
