Conflicting reports have been coming out regarding Lee Seung Gi’s enlistment date over the last few hours, causing many confused fans to call his agency for clarification.

Earlier today, local media Star Today quoted an industry source as saying, “Lee Seung Gi will enlist in Korean Army in the second half of next year.”

The source continued, “Lee Seung Gi does not want to join the military’s entertainment unit, but wants to serve as a regular soldier. The Korean military’s PR department probably wants him too, but it’s very likely that Lee Seung Gi will take the regular soldier position instead.”

However, shortly after, Star News came out with another report, denying Lee Seung Gi’s enlistment next year. The report quoted Hook Entertainment, Lee Seung Gi’s agency, and said, “There has been nothing finalized regarding Lee Seung Gi’s enlistment next year.”

“We’re very frustrated because the report came out of nowhere, while Seung Gi has been busy focusing on his concert. We think it’s because Seung Gi hasn’t appeared on TV a lot lately, but he will come back very soon,” his agency said.

Lee Seung Gi was born in 1987, and Korean press and netizens have repeatedly asked him questions regarding his enlistment schedule. Lee Seung Gi never really directly addressed the issue, only saying, “It’s difficult to say for sure when, but I’ve already made up my mind in my heart.”
