Many “Real Men” Female Soldier Special Stars Reportedly Fail to Qualify for Elite Unit
A surprising number of the members of MBC‘s “Real Men” female soldier special are said to have been eliminated after being deemed unfit to join the elite “Spider” unit.
The latest female soldier special features a cast of ten women, including CLC‘s Choi Yoojin, former tennis pro Jeon Mi Ra, actress Yoo Sun, actress and singer Han Groo, actress Shin So Yul, rapper Jessi, trot singer Park Gyuri, Japanese television personality Sayuri, comedienne and actress Kim Hyun Sook, and actress Han Chae Ah.
The women have been training to join the “Spider” unit, which specializes in counterterrorism operations and is known to be very difficult to enter.
On September 11, a source from the variety department told Ilgan sports, “On September 8, the members who entered the noncommissioned officer academy underwent re-examination of their physical fitness, etc.”
“They had to pass this test in order to join the ‘Spider’ unit next week, however out of the ten members, about half of them failed,” they add. “Even the production crew was shocked by this massive and unexpected disqualification.”
The members who passed the test will be entering the “Spider” unit next week.
You can catch the next episode of the “Real Men” female soldier special on MBC on September 13.
