YG Entertainment revealed on August 8 that PSY will soon release a sequel to his megahit single “Gangnam Style.”

According to a report by local media OSEN, PSY is currently working on a new version of “Gangnam Style.” The biggest change will be in the lyrics – the “Oppa is Gangnam Style” line will instead turn into “Oppa is exactly my style.”

“The new MV will again feature 4minute’s HyunA. But Yoo Jae Suk and No Hong Chul will not appear in it. Our initial plan was to reveal the clip this month, but because of the immense popularity of ‘Gangnam Style,’ we’re trying to reschedule to release date,” an official was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that PSY and YG Entertainment is currently in talks with Justin Bieber’s representatives. YG Entertainment declined to get into the specifics, but they did say the two parties will soon have a meeting. Anticipation for the new MV is particularly shooting up, as netizens and Korean press are already speculating that the PSY-Bieber meeting is in relation to the “Gangnam Style Part 2” music video.

Since its release on July 15, “Gangnam Style” has amassed over 19 million view counts on YouTube, becoming one of the most popular songs this summer.
