SHINee’s Taemin Reveals His MBTI Personality Type— Here’s What It Says About Him
SHINee‘s Taemin revealed his MBTI personality type in his recent special live broadcast, and here’s what it says about him.
Taemin revealed that he took the test two times and got the same result: INFP, otherwise known as the “Mediator.”
A closer look at his MBTI personality type shows that the “INFP” type suits Taemin quite well. They are often characterized as quiet and open-minded individuals, and are very imaginative and creative. And one look at Taemin’s work as an artist makes it apparent just how creative he is.
INFP’s are also known to have “profound emotional responses to music, art, nature, and the people around them,” according to 16Personalities. It’s no shock then that Taemin, and many other INFP idols like Jungkook, Suga, and RM from BTS are in the music industry.
In the love department, INFP’s are characterized as hopeless romantics, and are devoted to their partner. This love spills over to their friendships in the sense that they love being there for their friends, and find purpose in being someone a friend can rely on.
In the workplace, INFP’s are least likely to take on an overbearing position of authority. They don’t feel the need to act in charge, because they see their fellow workers as human beings and equals. This is apparent in SuperM, when the members were deciding on who should be the leader. The members first turned to Taemin as the veteran idol, but he ultimately turned it down and passed it to EXO‘s Baekhyun. He never holds his seniority over the members, and instead treats them as equals.
It makes sense that Taemin is categorized as a Mediator!
