At a press conference held on September 8 for Mnet‘s female rapper survival show “Unpretty Rapstar 2,” SISTAR‘s Hyorin shared her thoughts on joining the show.

She revealed, “If you look at it a certain way, I can lose a whole lot [through doing ‘Unpretty Rapstar 2’], but I have always wanted to and loved [rapping], just never had a chance to.”

“There is a limit to how much I can show in a group, so even though there is a lot I might lose, I still wanted to take on this challenge,” she continued. “It’s not so much that I was scared about what I’d lose; rather, I duly considered it and joined [‘Unpretty Rapstar’].”

Hyorin added, “I think I will gain that much more.”

Meanwhile, the second season of “Unpretty Rapstar” will feature eleven contestants in total including Hyorin. The show is slated to premiere on September 11 at 11 p.m., KST. You can check out a teaser video here.

What are your thoughts on Hyorin’s mentality going into “Unpretty Rapstar”? Are you looking forward to seeing her on the show?
