So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin Get Closer for “Master’s Sun”
“Master’s Sun” ramps up on the excitement for its forthcoming premiere with the release of more stills to tease the viewers. In the series of photos, leads Gong Hyo Jin and So Ji Sub are seen in a rooftop embrace.
In the drama, So Ji Sub plays Joong Won, a greedy and self-centered president of a department store. He forms a relationship with Gong Hyo Jin’s character, Gong Shil, who has the ability to see ghosts which complicates her life.
The particular scene highlights the love line between the two characters. Romance sparks with the sudden physical contact. In the scene described, Gong Shil has been sleepless because she is bothered by a spirit in the space she was living in. She grabs Joong Won in a sudden hug. Joong Won’s surprise is evident through his stiffened body.
Reports said the scene was shot on the rooftop of a building in the heart of the city of Seoul on June 25. As directed, the two actors were able to express both the romance and the chilling atmosphere required for the scenario. It was further reported that Gong Hyo Jin and So Ji Sub, having worked together for a month, have already progressed in their teamwork and thus are able to portray the blossoming love line between their characters. They are also noted to have worked hard in rehearsals to act out the emotions.
A representative from the drama’s production Born Factory said, “Gong Hyo Jin and So Ji Sub are working towards giving the audiences something different to enjoy. Please give them your attention.”
“Master’s Sun” premieres on August 7, as follow-up to “I Hear Your Voice” on SBS.
